I am thrilled to finally introduce myself as the owner and designer behind Squibble’s Crochet Corner. My name is Samantha and I started crocheting in 2021. My journey into the world of crochet began innocently enough - a simple hobby to pass the time and unwind after a long day. Little did I know that this passion would blossom into a full-fledged business that brings me so much joy and fulfillment.
Although there are many aspects of crochet that I love, amigurumi quickly won over my heart. More specifically, amigurumi animals and plants. I still remember to this day, the first time I discovered amigurumi at an art show. Needless to say, I was quite amazed and could not comprehend how a simple ball of yarn could be turned into something so beautiful. I knew in that moment, I would do anything to learn this amazing art form.
It all started with a humble hook and a skein of yarn. As I delved deeper into the art of crochet, I found myself experimenting with different stitches, patterns, and colors. Each creation was a labor of love, infused with a piece of my heart and soul. The positive feedback from friends and family encouraged me to take a leap of faith and share my creations with a wider audience. And thus, Squibble’s Crochet Corner was born.
The name Squibble’s Crochet Corner was inspired, believe it or not, by my cat, Oliver. Yes, I am one of those people. If you own pets, you know that their names can quickly morph into a funny nickname. Oliver earned the name "Squibble" in my household due to his funny, cute, and quirky nature. He brings me so much joy; I can only hope my designs bring you joy like this!
My goal at Squibble’s Crochet Corner is for my creations to help bring joy into your life and those you love! Whether that be a cute succulent smiling back at you on your work desk or gifting a loved one a stuffie of their favorite animal.
